About Course
The German Language Program based on the Netzwerk textbook series aims to develop learners’ German language proficiency progressively and systematically according to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The program guides learners from beginner to upper-intermediate levels by developing their abilities in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while strengthening grammatical accuracy, vocabulary development, pronunciation, and effective communication skills. About Course
A1.1 is the starting point for learning German and is designed for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of the language. The course focuses on building a solid foundation in essential vocabulary and grammar while developing the ability to communicate in simple everyday situations such as introductions, shopping, housing, family, and daily routines. Learners build confidence through integrated practice in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
What you will learn
- By the end of this level, learners will be able to introduce themselves and others, talk about personal information, family, work, and hobbies, and handle simple everyday situations such as shopping, requesting services, and asking for directions. They will also be able to understand basic instructions and write short messages and simple forms using vocabulary and language structures appropriate to the A1.1 level.
Skills
- This level focuses on developing basic communication skills, understanding simple dialogues through listening, reading short texts, writing simple sentences and messages, and speaking with basic vocabulary and an initial level of fluency.
About Course
Level A1.2 builds upon the knowledge and skills gained in the previous level by expanding learners' vocabulary and developing their ability to use German in a wider range of everyday situations, including travel, restaurants, appointments, health, housing, and daily activities. Learners also continue to develop their understanding of basic grammar, enabling them to form more accurate, clear, and meaningful sentences.
What you will learn
- Upon completing this level, learners will be able to handle common everyday situations with greater confidence, talk about daily routines and simple future plans, ask for and provide information, and understand short texts related to travel, work, and education. They will also be able to write personal messages using clear and well-organized language.
Skills
- By the end of this level, learners will be able to participate in short everyday conversations, understand dialogues related to familiar topics, read simple messages, advertisements, and schedules, and write short texts describing personal activities and experiences. They will also improve their pronunciation and strengthen their understanding and use of basic tenses and sentence structures.
About Course
Level A2.1 focuses on developing learners’ ability to communicate more independently in everyday life. It expands vocabulary related to work, education, health, social relationships, and personal experiences while introducing a wider range of language structures that enable learners to express their needs, opinions, and ideas more clearly.
What you will learn
- By the end of this level, learners will be able to communicate in most familiar everyday situations, describe people, places, and events, discuss past experiences and future plans, understand texts related to work, education, and social life, and write short, well-organized texts using language appropriate to their level.
Skills
- Learners improve their speaking skills by communicating more naturally in everyday situations, understanding intermediate-level conversations and texts, reading short articles and emails, writing descriptions of experiences and plans, and applying essential grammar structures with greater accuracy.
About Course
Level A2.2 strengthens learners’ ability to use German more independently in everyday contexts. The course focuses on handling more complex situations, expanding vocabulary, improving grammatical accuracy, and developing awareness of German culture and communication styles.
What you will learn
- By the end of this level, learners will be able to handle most everyday situations independently, express their opinions, feelings, and plans, understand clear conversations and texts, and produce coherent texts on familiar topics, preparing them to progress to the B1 level.
Skills
- By the end of this level, learners will be able to understand longer texts, participate more confidently in everyday conversations, read simple articles and instructions, express their personal opinions, and write organized messages and descriptive texts. They will also improve their fluency and accuracy in speaking and writing.
About Course
Level B1.1 marks the beginning of the intermediate stage, where learners move from basic communication toward using German in professional, educational, and social environments. The course focuses on improving fluency, expressing ideas clearly, and discussing everyday topics in greater depth.

- By the end of this level, learners will be able to handle a variety of situations while traveling, studying, or working, participate in everyday discussions, express and explain their opinions and goals clearly, and produce well-organized texts using clear and accurate German.

- Learners develop their ability to understand clear discussions, read medium-length texts, talk about experiences, education, and work, and write formal and informal messages and short reports while using more complex and accurate grammatical structures.

Level B1.2 aims to strengthen learners’ independence in German and prepare them for academic and professional communication. The course emphasizes discussion skills, expressing viewpoints, problem-solving, and understanding a wider range of texts and communication situations.

It develops learners’ ability to deal with more complex topics, analyze information and different perspectives, and communicate clearly and confidently while strengthening accuracy, fluency, and flexibility in a wide range of situations.
